Head of Product – Influencer-Led Products

A rapidly growing podcast media and technology company is seeking a Head of Product to partner with their core brands and internal hosts. In this hands-on role, you will establish a comprehensive range of influencer-led products and merchandise, driving the ideation, development, production, and monetisation strategies. This position is ideal for someone who thrives on getting involved in all aspects of product development and will own the full product roadmap for each line, from concept to launch.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaboration with Influencers: Work closely with brand hosts (influencers) to identify and capitalise on product launch and development opportunities.
  • Innovative Merchandise Development: Lead the ideation and creation of merchandise that resonates with diverse audience segments.
  • Product Methodology Creation: Build the foundations for a scalable product engine that serves as a key monetisation driver across our talent slate. Develop systems for prioritising new product development, rationalising product lines, and determining product decommissioning.
  • Lifecycle Management: Oversee the entire product lifecycle, ensuring alignment with brand values from concept to launch, and manage post-launch reviews to inform future iterations.
  • Operational Excellence: Develop and implement a robust resourcing plan, sourcing the right partners (e.g., digital product agencies, freelancers) to effectively scale the product function.
  • Monetisation Strategies: Create and implement strategies to maximise revenue across all product lines.
  • Market Analysis: Analyse market trends and consumer feedback to refine and enhance product offerings.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with marketing and sales teams to effectively promote product launches, managing suppliers and the entire product lifecycle.
  • Performance Accountability: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success, monitor performance, and iterate on strategies for continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience building both physical and digital products from the ground up, ideally within the media, content, or entertainment sectors.
  • Track record of successfully launching multiple products in parallel, catering to diverse audiences and brands.
  • Strong understanding of influencer marketing and trends in consumer products.
  • Exceptional project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple initiatives across varying demographics.
  • Creative thinker with a passion for crafting compelling product experiences.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset with a natural talent for spotting commercial product opportunities.
