Role Overview:

We're seeking an experienced Marketing and Communications Director to shape the entire scope of this innovative project.

You'll steer the entire marketing ship, accountable for brand development, strategy, and execution across all touch points, utilising both internal resources and outsourced vendors.

·       Develop and execute innovative marketing and communication strategies across channels.

·       Drive brand development initiatives for messaging and positioning consistency.

·       Identify growth opportunities within the conference and festival industry.

·       Manage social media platforms and lead paid media campaigns.

·       Collaborate to identify top talent for events and ensure a captivating lineup.

·       Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate insights into strategies.

·       Analyse performance metrics for data-driven decision-making.

·       Lead, mentor, and support a team of marketing professionals.

·       Represent the festival at industry events, conferences, and speaking engagements.

·       Ensure all KPIs and metrics are achieved across: delegate attendees, advertisers, sponsors, journalists, bloggers, non for profit professionals etc


·       Extensive marketing and communications experience in conferences/festivals.

·       Must be naturally strategic and thrives pushing boundaries and utilising innovation – this role is not for the faint hearted and requires 100% out of the box thinking!

·       Highly skilled at attracting Talent – partnering with influencer marketing agencies

·       Proven success in driving audience engagement and revenue growth across all b2b channels

·       Strong knowledge of social media, paid media, and brand development.

·       Exceptional leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.

·       Strategic mindset with a focus on innovation and results.

·       Bachelors degree in related field; advanced degree/certifications preferred.

·       Passion for music, film, technology, and the arts.
