Head of Programmatic Yield – Major Digital Publisher
£85-100k depending on experience level plus bonus
Hybrid remote & office working – London

This is envisaged to be a full-time role but we are happy to consider more flexible options for the right candidate.

This Head of Programmatic Yield position will be responsible for managing the operational strategy, execution, management and optimisation of programmatic revenue across this well-known media group.

Role Overview

Reporting into the Chief Revenue Officer, and with a multi-million pound programmatic revenue target, you will deliver our programmatic strategy and lead the programmatic team to drive revenue growth and profitability through short and long term optimisation of all programmatic activity, including the execution of direct programmatic campaigns (PG/PMP).

This role will see you drive the strategy of the entire programmatic operations of the business. You will drive the architecture & infrastructure, whilst simultaneously be very focused on optimising pricing to ensure probability. You must be very commercially minded and be up for the challenge of being very hands on, managing the day to day operations in order to maximise the yield & site traffic.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

The successful candidate will have in-depth knowledge of the programmatic landscape as well as team management experience, and will work in collaboration with both Sales and Product teams to optimise existing inventory and develop new programmatic solutions, including leveraging 1st party data to engage with our highly sought after audience.

The role will suit candidates with strong analytical skills and leadership capabilities to carry out both deep analysis of Programmatic performance, including pricing and yield optimisation, as well as driving innovation by keeping up to date with new product developments, ad tech initiatives and client requirements, alongside evangelising and promoting various programmatic products internally and externally.

  • Direct experience either working in a senior programmatic position with revenue management at a publisher or a supply side technology vendor
  • Deep knowledge of the programmatic landscape
  • Broad knowledge of platforms and technologies that support the digital programmatic ecosystems and drive monetisation such as Google Ad Manager, Ozone, Amazon TAM, SSPs
  • Proven experience working within high-performing teams with a focus on a culture of trust, transparency and coaching/talent development
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and be highly organised
