London – Hybrid (very flexible with working hours on a Monday and Friday = 9-1pm!!)
up to £42k

The leading B2B publication for media, marketing and ecommerce – is looking for a Content Editor to join its content team.

The role requires a sharp editorial eye, a nose for a good story and the ability to communicate clearly with both internal stakeholders and clients. From the hottest trends to the latest litigation, an interest in the worlds of media, advertising and technology is essential.

This fast-paced business provides news and analysis on the business of media, marketing and commerce with a specific focus on data and technology. Offering actionable market intelligence on the trends and innovations that are shaping the media, marketing and commerce industries.

The Role:

  • Research and aggregate regular daily and weekly content
  • Proactively build a pipeline of relevant stories, following the latest trends, as well as
  • providing insight and analysis
  • Feedback to clients on the quality of sponsored content, shaping and directing as
  • appropriate
  • Liaise with PR contacts to commission and vet content
  • Pitching monthly content to Head of Content, giving consideration to audience and
  • business requirements
  • Researching key stories daily and writing informative breaking news pieces, reaching out
  • for industry comment as required
  • Attending industry events
  • Building a pipeline of agency, brand and publisher contacts for comment pieces
  • Grow network of advertising and marketing technology contacts

Key skills required and the ideal candidate:

  • Business Journalism experience & detailed digital advertising industry knowledge and understanding highly desirable
  • Experience working in an editorial capacity for at least 3 years
  • Impeccable grammar and language skills
  • Ability to work unsupervised and to tight deadlines
  • Dedicated, committed, enthusiastic worker
  • Able to work on more than one project at a time
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Highly collaborative and a team player
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Happy working in a small, ambitious company that is fast-paced and highly agile
  • Experience and familiarity with WordPress
